OM Yoga is very easy to find at the heart of Tampere, Näsilinnankatu 34 A, 7th floor, Tampere just 100 meters from Hämeenkatu. You are most welcome to the classes, whether you are new to yoga or have been practicing for longer.
If you are not familiar with different lineages of yoga that are being taught, just come and join the beginners classes and find the class that best suits you. That is the best way of finding your style of practice. You also don´t need to register to classes in advance, all the classes are drop-in classes. Therefore there’s no need to sign up for fall or spring season, come join any class! Why yoga?
Yoga is a natural and holistic, thousands of years old practice. Most benefits come with steady practice. Yoga is not only a physical exercise and has no demands or expectations. Yoga increases flexibility in the body and tones and strengthens the muscles. It can help you to relax and get to know yourself better. You are the essence of yoga and you make each class unique, that is maybe why yoga works and at least for a moment can bring you a peaceful feeling.
You can learn different lineages of yoga at OM Yoga, for example Hatha, Integral, Astanga and Raja yoga. You can come to a yoga philosophy classes, learn about meditation and pranayama – breathing practices. The aim for the physical (asana) practices is: “Easeful body, peaceful mind” – as Sri Swami Satchidananda put it.

Tips for the class:
You can dress casually to the class in comfortable clothes suitable for exercise. You don’t need shoes for the class. Its good to bring also a long sleeved shirt and warm socks. If you like you can bring your own mat, but we also have mats for you to use. You can also buy a great quality yoga mat from us for practicing at home. Avoid eating within 2 hours prior to class and drinking half an hour before class. If you need to eat something closer to class it should be something easy to digest such as fruits. You don’t need to bring a water bottle to class. There are exceptions to the rule such as diabetics who need to pay extra attention to blood sugar levels.
